Building Control Amended Regulations 2014

In 2014, a significant amendment was made to building control regulations which alters the method by which commencement of development occurs. Previously, a simple notice was submitted for beginning work on a development upon grant of planning permission. The new system requires the online submission of fully worked out and detailed drawings and depending on the project size, will require a suitably qualified person to "sign-off" on the project at both design stage and at various stages during the works. 

Being qualified in one of the three identified professions, Diarmaid O Sullivan (Chartered Engineer) can over-see any project fully from deisgn to site and can sign-off on the project as required if satisfied.
