Legal Mapping Issues

When buying or selling a house it is important to ensure that the boundaries being sold from the folio map of the property match the actual boundaries on site.                                                                                                                           It is common for there to be discrepancies between the two as fences have been moved and replaced over time, or a verbal agreement may have been arranged for the purchase of land which was subsequently never marked on the folio map. These discrepancies can lead to a number of issues if not resolved before the sale or purchase of a property.                                                                                                                                                                                         We survey all of the boundaries of the site and produce an electronic map of the site to accurately calculate its area. This is then compared to the original folio map. We then make any alterations to the map that are required and certify the areas.
